The essence of Buds & Bear is stylish, safe and functional. Our playmats are created by a mother who have tried and tested so many playmats for over 4 years with 2 growing babies so each of the playmat is crafted to solve frustrations that she has encountered.

In fact mamas, papas, and older siblings can enjoy the playmats too! They are very comfy to play on, do light exercises, or nap next to your child if you are tired.
• Sturdy: Our playmat has weightier memory foam than most in the market with approximately 9 kg of total weight. It also has texturized imprint which means that it is more stable on carpeted, wood, tiled or marble flooring. It will stay put on your floor without being slippery. 
• Safety: Non-toxic, recyclable and certified safe by global regulations. It is also inflammable which means it will not catch on fire. This means it is also suitable in countries with underfloor heating.

Our product is made from the finest quality materials to ensure high safety standard. Buds & Bear playmats are made from a non-toxic PVC. This is a different material than a traditional PVC that is known for its toxicity concerns due to the use of plasticizers like phthalates. Non-toxic eco-friendly PVC which is used in medical equipment, toys and households is completely FREE of phthalates and has been tested and proven safe for humans. Our playmats are also FREE from formaldehyde, heavy metals including lead and mercury and contain NO BPA. All toxins in the materials are removed by toxic removal technology and pass all Regulation and Product Standards in the States and EU.

Our playmats are great for light exercises! This is because they are made from thick foam material that is super durable which makes it great for big kids and adults as well. This foam is comparable to that of a deluxe pilates mat which supports the body during floor work. In comparison to yoga mats, which are smaller and thinner, our playmats are larger in size and thicker.

You can clean by wiping down with soft cloth and water. This is the most recommended method to clean up any messy situation on your playmat. 

In circumstances where you really need to use a detergent, please choose super gentle ones with mild chemicals. This is to maintain the integrity of the ink. Choose ingredients that are free from natural oils, citric, hypochlorous acid, ethanol, or any alcohol. Baby wipes are also a big no-no. We get the convenience of baby wipes, however it may cause discolouration and cracking on your playmat.

Dents or crease occur when mat surface is under pressure or mats are unrolled after purchase or rolled for some period. It depends on how hard or long the mats was under pressure (or being rolled), but don’t worry, it naturally disappears in few days.

Pets are such a wonderful companion at home. However, please keep your furry family at bay because the playmat is not scratch resistant. Claws and scratches can cause irreparable damage, which our warranty does not cover.

We created the playmats with our little buds’ developmental years in mind. Our playmats can last up to many years with proper care and cleaning methods. From the moment your child is 0 month old all the way to toddler years and above, Buds & Bear will be there on the floor protecting and supporting your little buds.

5 things you can do to ensure the durability of your playmat:

• Avoid direct heat, high pressure vacuuming and steam cleaning.
• Avoid direct sunlight.
• Keep pets with sharp claws away.
• Get heavy furniture off the playmat.
• Avoid stains such as pens, permanent markers, paint or any kind of strong ink.

Playmats can be a great addition to create a safe environment for your baby to grow up. To avoid any hazards, we recommend making sure that the playmat is completely flat on the ground with all the edges touching the floor. 

Upon first unboxing, unroll your playmat flat on the floor and allow the corners to settle. This ensures that any creases disappear and the playmat does not become a trip hazard.

My playmat doesn’t seem to be settling properly.

You can also simply re-roll the playmat in the reverse direction upon opening and leave overnight then unroll flat on the floor to let it settle naturally.

Our materials have been independently tested and are compliant with UK-CA standards, CE, CPSIA, ASTM ensuring their highest quality and safety.  It is non-flammable and will not catch on fire, making it a safer option than other materials on the market. In terms of your baby’s physical safety, we made sure to make it non-slippy, thick, soft, and plush! Waterproof surface makes the playmat easy to clean and non-slippery afterwards. 15mm thick padded foam is what makes them extremely soft, shock absorbent and durable. Perfect for tumbling toddlers, tummy time and exercise!

Definitely! You can use Buds & Bear playmats on top of your carpets. Our playmat is weighted at approximately 9 kg so it will settle nicely on carpets. 

Yes but we do not recommend leaving furniture on the mat for long periods. This is because the mat may be damaged and not return to its original state. These damages are also not covered in our warranty.

We’ve tried so many playmats over the years that are slippery, especially on tiles and marbles. With an aim to solve this issue, we’ve made the high quality playmats with texture imprint and weightier than most in the market with approximately 9 kg of weight. Texture imprints on the playmat gives it a tighter grip to the floor surface. So, you can use it on tiles, wooden floors, carpets, and marble flooring.

Sometimes the edges may curl. Here’s a quick tip! You can also simply re-roll the playmat in the reverse direction upon opening and leave it overnight then unroll flat on the floor to let it settle naturally.

The designs of Buds & Bear playmats have style at its core, as our tagline goes “playmats for your beautiful homes”. We recommend you to place the playmat in the living room, play room, nursery or even your home office. Due to its neutral and luxurious design, it can fit your living spaces without being overwhelming. For your reference, our playmat is 140 cm x 210 cm in size.

We do not recommend bringing out the playmat but if you do bring it outside, worry not, we suggest you find shaded areas, be careful with any sharp objects on the ground and do bring it inside after the play time!

It’s really easy to teach the material to uncurl - simply roll it tightly the opposite way, bend the curl in the opposite direction, and leave it overnight. When you roll it out in the morning it will be flat! Alternatively, turn under the curl and scoot along the edge with your knees.
